Washington Rebates

DT Midstream Rebates
How it works: DT Midstream utility customers can earn cash back on a Mitsubishi or Carrier ductless mini split. If the Heating Seasonal Performance Factor 2 (HSPF2) is greater than 8.5, you’ll receive a $400 rebate; if it’s 9.5 or higher, you’ll receive a $600 rebate.
HSPF2 measures heat pump efficiency.
Snohomish County Public Utility District Rebates
How it works: Qualifying Snohomish County PUD customers must own a single-family or manufactured home, townhouse, or condominium in a building with up to four attached dwellings.
All work must be completed by a PUD-registered contractor, such as Lifetime Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric.
- For homeowners with electric heat (baseboard, wall heaters, ceiling panels, or electric furnaces), you can receive $1,800 when they convert to a ducted non-inverter heat pump system with a minimum of 7.5 HSPF2 and 13.8 SEER2.
SEER, or Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio, measures air conditioning or heat pump cooling efficiency. - Receive $2,500 when you convert to an inverter heat pump with a minimum of 8.5 HSPF2 and 13.8 SEER2.
- Earn an additional $200 rebate on qualifying advanced thermostats, such as the Honeywell T10 and ecobee Pro6.
Please note this rebate is not stackable with the Midstream rebate.
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) Rebates
How it works: These rebates only apply to PSE customers living in existing single-family properties. It does not apply to new housing construction or multifamily units.
- For homeowners with electric baseboards or wall heaters, converting to an air-source heat pump with a minimum of 8.1 HSPF2 and 15.2 SEER2 can earn a $1,500 rebate for a single-family home and $2,400 for a manufactured home.
- PSE customers who qualify for the Rebate Boost Program (based on the combined household income of 80% or less of the area median income) can receive an additional $900 rebate for single-family homes ($2,400 total), and $1,600 for manufactured homes ($4,000 total).
- Income-qualifying PSE customers can receive a $5,000 rebate on a cold climate heat pump through the Home Electrification and Appliances Rebate (HEAR) program. To qualify for the heat pump rebate, you must receive electricity from PSE and heat your home with either electric resistance heating or a natural gas furnace. If you heat with a natural gas furnace, you must also currently receive gas service from PSE.
The HEAR rebate may be stackable with Midstream or standard PSE rebates but requires a case-by-case review prior to installation to determine. - For PSE customers living in Duval only, upgrading to an ENERGY STAR® certified high-efficiency gas furnace (95% or greater AFUE) can earn you a $1,150 rebate. Pair it with a qualifying thermostat, and you’ll receive an additional $350, for a total rebate of $1,500.
Energy Smart Eastside Heat Pump Rebates
How it works: This $6,000 instant rebate on Mitsubishi heat pumps is available to residents of Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond, and Sammamish.
To qualify, you must be switching to a heat pump from gas, oil, wood, or propane heat. Additionally, total household income must be at or below 150% of the area median income.
